“Dependency Graph” is a series of collaborative performances with the band Black Rain (Stuart Argabright and Soren Roi). Since 2015, this event existed as a type of itinerant spectacle, which draws on the lurid atmospherics inherent in both my broader work, as well as the band’s music. Black Rain’s post-industrial meta-music becomes a programmed and improvised response to the videos, which draw together parallel themes of financial anxiety, developmental psychology, virtual reality and sexual gratification into a dreamy tableau.
